Cranberry Sauce with Walnuts

Modified from the Whole Foods recipe book, we added MV Sea Salt and it is now vibrant to look at and eat.

Cranberry Sauce with Walnuts
Stored well, this cranberry sauce will keep for 2 weeks in the refrigerator. So make it ahead and keep it on hand to add sweet-tart flavor to roasted meats and sandwiches when you're in a hurry.

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups cranberries
  2. 1/2 cup apple juice
  3. 1/2 cup honey or rice syrup
  4. 1 teaspoon grated rind from oranges
  5. 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans
  6. 1/8-1/4 teaspoon MV Sea Salt
Instructions
  1. Combine cranberries, apple juice, and honey in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes until berries pop. Remove from heat and stir in salt, grated orange rind and walnuts. Cool to room temperature and then chill in a covered container.
Notes
  1. Some folks prefer leaving the nuts and orange out and still love the taste. Go ahead and put a spoon of this in your yogurt.
